Certified Home Health Aide Program/Private Pay Homecare

Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey

Offering the services of over 80 Certified Home Health Aides and Homemakers.

About the Program

The JFSCNJ Home Health Aide Program has been in operation since 1978 and offers the services of over 80 Certified Home Health Aides and Homemakers under the supervision of seven Registered Nurses. Limited spaces are available for Union County residents over the age of 60, who meet the income guidelines, and may be eligible for up to six hours of homecare per week. We also offer a private pay program, “Caregivers at Home”, for individuals who may exceed income requirements. The goal of the program is to keep people safe in their homes and avoid institutionalization, especially during these times.
JFSCNJ places the health and safety or our clients and staff as our highest priority. A JFSCNJ Registered Nurse monitors the Covid-19 outbreak daily as we follow the most current guidance from the Center for Disease Control for infection prevention and adapt as the information evolves.
We reach out to our field staff daily to ensure they are self-monitoring for symptoms prior to client visits. They have been educated to recognize and report signs and symptoms of Covid-19 and are trained in the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We have secured the appropriate PPE to help keep clients and staff safe.
